The editorial framework for MedTV is based on the Ministry of Health's priority Population Health Goals & Objectives. Each month one of these is the basis of a lead story or sub-feature. Topics such as nutrition and child health are covered in each programme. Other health related news and regular topics such as First Aid are included each month, along with concurrent health campaigns and community events. The channel has a focus on reducing inequalities and health promotion which guides content development.
Segments are a mix of supplied content, adapted to the MedTV format, and mini-documentaries produced in-house by MedTV Ltd., the production arm of the service. Interviews present current issues and opinions along with human interest and newsworthy events captured by the MedTV crew.
MedTV does not editorialise. Opinions are those of recognised authorities in their fields. Clinical reveiw is obtained when required for content produced in-house. Supplied material is provided only by authoritative sources, including NGOs and government agencies.
