MedTV introduce new Digital Service at Health & Lifestyle Expo - "Just for the health of it!"

19-20 March 2006: As an organisation focused on promoting healthy activity, well-being, safety and innovation MedTV was invited to be part of an exciting initiative to empower communities to make healthy lifestyle choices and decisions with available resources.

The Primary Health Organisations of Waitakere City, Rodney District and North Shore City, the Waitemata District Health Board and Tihi Ora MAPO planned this significant Health and Lifestyle Expo - Just for the Health of it! A unique, free experience intended to be a stimulating forum for local and international interaction, lots of displays, information and innovative solutions to current public health issues.

10,000 visitors were expected to attend the expo over the two days from Sunday 12pm March 19 to Monday 6pm March 20. MedTV recognised this opportunity as the perfect forum to introduce our innovative Digital Service to the public for the very first time. Revealing plans to upgrade our existing national network to our narrowcast digital channel using IPTV internet protocol television technology to deliver an extended 10 hour programme of health promotion. And it didn't stop there - this too was the ideal location to introduce the newest component to our service - our interactive touch screen kiosks for more indepth information and self-learning.
